Bio

Felix Martinez Jr. (He/Him) is a sophomore at Florida International University, a Jack D. Gordon Insitute for Public Policy (JGI) - Intelligence Fellow, and an Honors College student. He is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice with plans to complete a Master of Science in Criminal Justice. He currently serves as the Treasurer for Alpha Phi Sigma, the FIU Criminal Justice National Honor Society. 
His research at FIU has monitored the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) in the Middle East, Asia, and Africa. Still, it has shifted towards monitoring illegal firearms trafficking in the Caribbean. Growing up in South Florida, he focused on criminal justice studies in high school, intending to become a law enforcement officer. Entering FIU, he began in Spring 2022 studying with JGI and their Intelligence Fellowship. As an Intelligence Fellow, he plans to enter into a job in the government to help inform educated decisions for U.S. policy while pursuing his passion.
