Rafael Augusto is a Fall 2023 Intern for the Washington International Trade Association (WITA). He is a Florida International University – Honors College student pursuing his Bachelor of Business Administration in International Business. His main interests include gaining practical experience and insights into the role of international trade in the U.S. economy and the economic development of its global partnerships.
After obtaining his Associate in Arts Degree from The College of the Florida Keys, Rafael transferred to FIU for his BBA in International Business. He has been actively engaged in various organizations, including the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, the Alpha Kappa Psi Professional Business Fraternity, and the International Business Honor Society (IBHS), where he currently holds the role of Director of Events.
Raised in Venezuela and a former Rotary International exchange student in Germany, he is fluent in Spanish and has advanced knowledge of German. In the future, Rafael Augusto hopes to improve his intercultural literacy skills and contribute to the improvement of our evolving globalized world.
