Bio

Gabriel Rondon is a motivated first-generation student who came to this country 5 years ago from Caracas, Venezuela with a carry-on full of dreams and goals. Gabriel Rondon is part of the Honors Program working towards his Engineering Degree specializing in Construction Management, Business, and Real Estate.

Being the first student in his family to study at an American university allowed Gabriel to explore all the opportunities. He has been involved at FIU as the Events Coordinator and President of the Venezuelan Student Alliance, Mentor Collective Ambassador for new incoming students, Engineering Senator for the Student Government, and Career Coach to help the student discover their passions and interest.

His motivation to give back in any way to his community open the possibility to find a life changing opportunity in the Nation’s capital, Washington D.C. For the first time, Gabriel has had the opportunity to work and learn in the epicenter of power, politics, and advocacy. He is currently interning for one of the most influential think tanks in the nation, The Heritage Foundation, as the Development Operations and Donors Relations Intern.

Gabriel has the expectation to grow professionally, learn the political atmosphere, and develop a critical thinking process when it comes to evaluating policies.

Gabriel has recognized that all his accomplishments would not have been possible without the grace and help of God.
