Melanie Mahmoodi

Melanie Mahmoodi is a junior at Florida International University majoring in Political Science with a certificate in Latin American and Caribbean Studies. She is passionate about electoral politics and campaign communications. Through her communications work on local campaigns and experience leading outreach for civic nonprofits, Melanie has developed an interest in strategic messaging and political psychology. She is particularly interested in studying Latino voting patterns across the U.S., and hopes to develop a better understanding of the issues facing Miami voters through her internship in the United States House of Representatives this spring.
