Bio
Sarah is pursuing a B.A. in International Relations and a B.S. in Business and Government Leadership at Florida International University. She also holds certificates in Middle East and Muslim World Studies and European and Eurasian Studies. Sarah serves as a Programming and Government Relations Fellow with FIU in Washington, D.C., where she leads policy programming and events in partnership with federal agencies, congressional offices, think tanks, and nonprofit organizations. She drafts institutional communications, coordinates stakeholder engagement and event logistics, and conducts policy research to support briefings and discussions focused on foreign policy and national security.
Her academic background directly informs her work, particularly in areas related to security, sovereignty, and criminal governance. Supporting programming on issues such as Haiti’s security crisis has allowed her to apply classroom knowledge to real-time policy conversations in the nation’s capital. After graduation, Sarah plans to attend law school and pursue a career in policy and public service, with a particular interest in cyber and artificial intelligence policy, human trafficking policy reform, and national security law.
